Double-DIN.com is an independent site built for one purpose: helping people in the US figure out which double DIN car head unit actually fits their vehicle before they buy one. We're not affiliated with any head unit manufacturer or retailer.

What we focus on

Our core focus is fitment data — matching specific head units to specific years, makes, and models, along with the dash kit and wiring harness each install needs. Everything else on the site, including our guides, exists to support that goal.

How we make money

Where our images come from

The technical drawings on this site — wire colour charts, DIN dimensions, mounting depth, the install stack — are generated from our own measurement data as SVG. Every number in them is traceable to a source we checked; none of them is drawn by an image model, because a diagram with a plausible-looking wrong number reads as a fact and costs you money.

The photographs are different: they carry no measurements, only atmosphere. They were produced with Google's Nano Banana image model and then cropped, resized and converted to WebP by our own build script. The original files carry Content Credentials (C2PA) signed by Google; the converted WebP files served here do not, because the conversion drops that metadata. We would rather say so plainly here than ship a re-signed credential of our own that no verifier would trust.

Editorial policy

We recommend the head unit that genuinely fits best for your car, regardless of which retailer or brand it comes from or how much commission it pays. Fitment data drives our recommendations, not advertiser relationships. If a budget unit is the correct fit for your dash, that's what we'll point you to.
